I shivered when my world went into darkness. Every beat of my heart pulsed through my veins and thundered in my ears. The deep breath I took to calm myself down didn’t work. I was too nervous, too excited, and a little self-conscious.

It has been a while since I’ve been naked in front of a man, and even longer since I’ve been naked for the first time in front of one. My nerves were frazzled, but for whatever reason, I was ok. I’d never even seen his face, and I was ok with it.

This is going to be one night: one night of passion, one night of insanity, one night to just close my eyes and jump. ‘Don’t overthink this Katie,’ I said to myself as I followed him blindly down the hall.

I heard the beep of the door as he held the card key to it. The turning of the door handle seemed so loud, like it was echoing through the hall, or maybe it was my imagination playing tricks on me since I couldn’t see through the mask.

He guided me through the door, the weight of it slamming behind me. “Let go for a moment,” he said, his voice gruff and low.

I let go of the belt and stayed where I was. He moved away from me, and I strained to hear what he was doing. Not being able to see kept me guessing and excited. I didn’t hear him approach me, but I felt his presence draw near.

He kissed me, without the beard. He claimed my lips, his own face had scruff. It wasn’t a full beard, but it was longer than stubble – softer.

I moved my arms up to try and hold onto him, but he pulled away. “Not yet.”

“Doug?” I questioned, when I felt him move away again. I reached up to remove the mask…

“No. Leave it on.” He stopped me, “And you won’t call me Doug again. Call me Sir. Do you understand me?” His voice was firm, his hand captured mine and lowered it away from my face. “I’m in control tonight, Katie. If you don’t like something, say the word velvet, and I’ll stop. But if all we have is tonight, then tonight I own you. Tonight, you are mine.”

Part of my head rebelled at what he was saying, but the other part was in complete agreement with my soaking wet core wanting to be owned and taken by him. The fight was unfair – two against one – and my aroused mind and body overpowered that inner rebellion.

I submitted to him.

“Good girl.” He sensed that I let go of my fragile control, and his ability to see that comforted me – that he could read my body, perhaps even better than I could.

I pleased him. I could hear it in his voice, and pride bloomed within my chest. It was unexplainable. The curiosity had always been there, ever since I read one of Robyn’s books. This wasn’t in a book though, this was real, and every bit of my body felt like a live wire was running through it.
